BrightSparks Forum a success once again!

The BrightSparks Forum was hosted by the IPCI once again this year with an array of impressive speakers.

Grades 10-12 learners were in attendance for the morning programme held at the IPCI’s presentation centre in early May. Guests speakers included SAFM personality Ashraf Garda, Cape based business-woman Lamees Romaney of Pomegranate Events, events company Adivah in Africa owner and author Adila Vahed, IT Varsity CEO Bilal Kathrada, and local digital media and communications business-owner Nazareen Ebrahim.

The purpose of the BrightSparks Forum is to congregate some of the top performing students from around Durban’s Muslim schools and equip them with practical working knowledge for their entrance into the working world. The programme also aims to discover and mentor emerging young leaders who show potential for leadership.

The topics presented ranged from personal development, learning the qualities required for success, success and safety in the digital world, and understanding responsibility as a South African citizen.

Parents in attendance commended the IPCI staff on a successful programme and also reported their learnings from some of the sessions.
