The Wife of Sheikh Ahmed Deedat passes on…

By the Will of Allah, Hawa Deedat, the wife of Sheikh Ahmed Deedat, breadth her last in the early hours on Monday the 28th of August 2006 (4th of Shabaan 1427) at the age of 85, about one year after the demise of her world renowned husband at the Deedat’s home in Verulam, Durban South Africa.

Our dear and beloved wife of Sheikh Deedat aptly lived the saying ‘ Behind every great man is a woman’. She was a pillar of strength, the silent mujahid and confidant to her dear husband during all his years of struggle as a Daee ilal lah. In addition, she never left her beloved husband’s bedside throughout all the nine years of his illness.

Mother Hawa Deedat was a unique, charming and invaluable jewel that stands as a beacon light, a role model, of her dedication and commitment to the Deen of Allah and His Messenger and the mission of her husband.
