IPCI and Darul-Ihsaan partner on new approach revert course

The IPCI and Darul Ihsaan have partnered to introduce the Basic Teaching of Islam & Comparative Religion for reverts.

Muneerah Massallamah Khwela and Sfiso Duma are facilitating the course. Appa Muneerah is a teacher at the IPCI for the last five years and has also appeared on Radio Al-Ansaar and conducted public outreach talks for IPCI.  Sfiso Duma has replaced Late brother Ebrahim Mthembu in the capacity as a teacher & researcher.

The reverts around around the KZN area i.e. Kwa-Mashu, Inanda, Umlazi, Merebank Makhutha, Hammersdale, Phoenix Chatsworth and MarianHill.

The partnership with Darul Ihsaan came about after consultation with them and the introduction of their syllabi to the students.  The course has a duration of a 5 month period where we also conduct Saturday classes for the working people and also an advanced module.  The learners learn the basic of Islam upon completion of their courses at IPCI and are encouraged to join other organizations who offer them empowerment projects. They may also pursue employment opportunities and in this regard we work closely with Sanzaf and the Jamiatul-Ulema.

Our most recent revert course and graduation was held in late 2016 during November. Watch more on proceedings here.
