IPCI Publishes Sheikh Najaar’s Book In Zulu

The demand for Islamic literature in the African languages is on the increase. With many Zulus embracing Islam more books will have to be translated into Zulu & other indigenous languages.The popular book by Sheikh Abu Najaar in English entitled “I am a Muslim” has been translated and published in Zulu. This publication was made possible through the generous sponsorship of a pensioner from United Kingdom who visited the country especially to launch this publication. The book teaches in simple down to earth manner the fundamentals of Islam. The IPCI remains committed to translate the message of Islam to as many languages as possible. Give a copy of this book to a new Muslim. Now available at IPCI.

Looking Back At 2003

  • 164 persons from different faiths accepted islam of this 38 were indians, 11 were white, 18 coloureds & 98 africans
  • 2953 tourists / visitors were taken on a mosque tour.
  • a total of 142 students attended the full-time revert classes and 64 students attended the saturday revert classes.
  • 71 students completed the journalism course
  • 13 students completed the modules on islam in the contemporary world: a comparative approach.
  • For the first time 20 learners doing the adult basic literacy wrote a 3 hour external examination (i.e.b independent
    examination board exam) on english communication & numeracy.

There are millions of Muslims in Africa who do not possess the Arabic Holy Quran. The IPCI has identified Senegal as one of the countries to which Qurans will be sent during 2003/2004. To date we have collected 1200 Qurans.
The IPCI extends its heartfelt thanks to the Muslim Community of Durban, South Africa who responded so enthusiastically to our appeal. There is also a shortage of lead pencils and the IPCI is sending 10 000 pencils for schools in Senegal.

Revert Muslim Forum: An IPCI Initiative

On Saturday 24 th January 2004 the IPCI launched a”Revert Muslim Forum”, the first of its kind in South Africa at which 75 new Muslims were present. The guest speaker, Amir of IPCI congratulated the reverts for having accepted Islam and assured them that “this is The Unique Religion and that they have been chosen by God Almighty.Meetings will be held monthly.
