Building
Partnership in Dawah
It
is a misconception to assume that Dawah would be effective merely
by spreading the knowledge of Islam.
The teachings of Islam must be disseminated by setting a true Islamic
example, individually as well as
collectively, however the ideal form of Dawah is that the entire
community should be organised on the
Principle of Khilafah -ala- Minhaj-al- Nabuwwah (caliphate on the
pattern of the way of the Prophet (S.A.W)
The IPCI firmly believes that optimum effectiveness could be achieved
through the building of a partnership
in Dawah. The IPCI therefore extends an invitation to all interested
organisations, musjid committees and
other individuals to join us in this venture of taking Dawah to
a wider community through the establishment
of local Dawah Information Centres in the country.
The IPCI will play a supportive role by providing essential resources
such as literature, audio & video
cassettes and the necessary expertise to establish such centres.
We Look Forward To Your Positive Response.

Dialogue
with U.S. Post Graduate Students from "People To People International"
The
IPCI recently hosted a seminar for a delegation of 22 student leaders
representing various Universities in the United States led by the
Senate contender Douglas Prather. The seminar was entitled "Current
American administrations foreign policies and the misconception
about Islam" The main speakers were Goolam Vahed, (senior lecturer
at UDW). "History of Muslims in South Africa", Prof. S.
Dangor (UDW). "Educational Systems of Muslims in South Africa,
Lubna Nadvi (Senior lecturer in Political Science-UDW). "Muslims
& Global Politics" In a thank you letter received from
Keira Powers, the programme co-ordinator complimented the IPCI and
stated that "the meeting with the IPCI was one of the most
challenging for the students in terms of confronting their own social
and political perceptions and in questioning other peoples perceptions
of them as young Americans.” She added that, "it was
a meeting which both of our organizations could have shied away
from" The delegation was also taken on a visit to the Juma
Musjid.
